Saturday 30 January
It's sabbath again. The stones are being raked. I get up and ready to leave and eat some breakfast. We leave just around 9 am. The sun on the car makes me sleepy. Thankfully it's an uneventful 1.45hour trip, despite crazy drivers. We get to the university grounds and find a park. We have to leave the car partially unlocked due to the continued key issues. We walk to the university church and take a seat by the door. Classes are not quite over. It's really like a big auditorium with wooden flip up seats and desks nailed to the floor. The singing is amazing but the service drags on and I can't stay awake. The service is all translated and at times it seems they are telling at each other. After a very long benediction we are released into the cooler air outside. Some of the children from the home come and greet us. We meet the director and head to their place. The children are excited to come with us in the car. The children's home is on the university grounds comprised of four large homes. We have lunch with the director. It's very nice. Especially a peanut sauce. After we finish lunch we give out cookies I made. The kids seem pretty happy. We spend the rest of the afternoon playing with them and when it's time to go some of the kids want to come with us. It breaks my heart. So much sadness. It feels like a very slow trip back. We stop for dinner at the shopping square. It's delicious. Especially the cheese cake. On the way home we have a giant bug stowaway in the car and we stop to let him out! After showering we watch a lovely movie and head to bed.
