Winds not too bad so up up and up the hill we pedal a 19% gradient, mama mia for want of better words it was tough tough, Rod made it to the top, I didn't - blamed it on the stomach virus I had been dealt with two days earlier and hadn't fully recovered. What a challenge!!! The view was fantastic, glad I have hydraulic disc brakes for the downward slide. The road was closed up the top but we decided just to keep climbing and go to the top anyway. Down hill we took a different route and came through all the vineyards and what appeared to be big expensive properties. Once down to the coast again we decided on a swim OMG it looked so beautiful but it was freezing!!!! Locals blamed the wind but apparently there is a spring under the sea and it pushes up the cold water and the wind makes it worse!!!. I got in & I got out just as quick - we then headed back to our French Family via the busy highways with tolls where the cars whizz along at 130km's. We succeeded through the 1st toll booth without any stress then to come across another one and was perplexed, stressed - we have no ticket eeekk - not to worry those frenchies have it sorted yep another 1.90 euros please - no ticket to say where you have come from we just take your money - u
