Day 61 - Sat 19 May - Dunedin to Oamaru
We didn't need to leave early this morning as we were only going to Oamaru. We went for a drive up the hill past the Park in search of Mt Cargill Lookout. We followed the signs but ended up on a dirt road with big ruts so turned back and took photos of the city on the way down. We had been considering staying at Teschemakers but after a bit of a safari following Navgirl through 2 fords we just stopped for lunch. It would be nice in the summer but too shady for our solar panels and a bit remote at this time of the year. We continued on (via a sealed road back to the main highway) and parked up at Oamaru A & P Showgrounds.
