Day 64 - Tue 22 May - Waimate Today is supposed to be a 'no drive' day for Bruce. However we did go out to the coast to the Waihao Box (designed to stop the river mouth blocking with shingle). The first road Navgirl took us down ended with a washed out bridge and road closed so we backtracked and eventually arrived there. Day 63 - Mon 21 May - Oamaru to Waimate We didn't do any side trips today on the way up to Waimate. The NZMCA Park is well kept and has expanded since we were here 6 years ago. Quite parklike with grass and hedging. We spent the rest of the day catching up with the blog and sorting/naming the numerous photos we've been taking. We even got the awning out so it could air and dry off. There's been too much wind recently.
