Day 39 - Fri 27 April - Te Anau to Cascade Creek (Milford Road)

We got ready to hook up this morning and head up the Milford Road - however, not till the early lot of buses have gone through. We don't want to hold them up! Others left the campsite this morning too. It started to drizzle as we left Te Anau and got heavier as we got further up the Eglinton Valley. We decided to park at Cascade Creek DOC camp which has had a major redevelopment since we stayed here 6 years ago. Great work! It was steady with vehicles coming in to stay for the night with many coming in just before dark. It was good to see the Ranger checking for payment. We have a DOC Pass so it's no hassle.
