Thyme Travellers On the Road
Day 60 - Fri 18 May - Dunedin
Our trip on the Taieri Gorge Train Trip didn't leave till 12.30pm so no rush today. We packed a lunch to have on the train and got there in plenty of time. The GPS in the car is working overtime finding our way around Dunedin. It looked like about 50 passengers so plenty of room to move around taking photos. Bonus - we got a sunny day too. The commentary was very informative with lots to see and photograph both up and back. There was a stop at Hindon to stretch the legs and also a wait to change the engine to other end of the train at Pakerangi (as far as today's trip went). The changing landscape from sea level into Central Otago was quite dramatic and the gorge had amazing rocks. It was a great day out!
