Mon 26 March - New Plymouth to Whanganui
The van went into MeritRv by 11am for the gas guy to check the frig. We drove out to Oakura. It was a nice day for a walk on the beach with great shots of the mountain. Not much surf today.
The van was ready by 1.50pm so we hitched up and headed south along the coast road. A lot of roadworks here too made for stop/start driving. Not really what Bruce had in mind so we decided to stop in Whanganui. We could park at the back of the RSA (Nigel No Friends again…) but couldn't go in for a drink as it was only open during the day. All in all it was a l o.n.g day!
