Day 22 - Tue 10 April - Wanaka We had a morning of baking because our tins were empty and our vans smelt heavenly after that! Wilkie worked on his gas heater and got it going. Just as well as the snow covers the mountain around Wanaka this morning. After lunch we went to check out the op shops for warm clothes. The cupboards got a topup with groceries too. Day 21 - Mon 9 April - Lake Wardell to Wanaka It was cooler this morning as we set off. We noted new dairy farms up in the high country. Such a contrast to the sheep stations. Huge irrigators stretching across huge paddocks and big sheds for the cows versus irrigation ditches and the station's own water reservoir to feed them.
