Day 58 - Wed 16 May - Ranfurly to Dunedin
We figured it was easier to shop at the local Ranfurly Four Square rather than find a supermarket in Dunedin later on. We drove over what is known as the Pig Root mostly up in the cloud layer until we got over Dead Horse Pinch. We were pretty slow going up there but little traffic on the road today. We stopped to photograph Bowkers Bridge near Dunback and discovered it was a Lions Project to clear and preserve the area. It was a fair drag up the hills approaching Dunedin and we were glad we didn't have full tanks to weigh us down. After a late lunch we managed to find an RV store to get a new fridge vent cover (which had fallen off between Alexandra and Ranfurly). Fitting that will be a job for tomorrow as the rain started mid afternoon and continued into the evening. It was a low sun day so our battery levels are a bit lower than we would like - hope it's fine tomorrow.
