Soongies' Great Adventure
Today we had a chilled out morning with some face timing and board games before heading to Frodsham to see Nanna's grave. Auntie Fiona had recently placed some flowers on the grave which made it look very nice. Quite a few generations of Kate's family are buried at Frodsham cemetery so we wandered around learning a little bit more about Kate's family history - there may be some Norwegian blood in there. We then decided we needed some cheering up so drove for about half an hour through the countryside in Cheshire and ended up at the dairy farm / epic children's playground where we were overwhelmed at the choice of ice-cream flavours! Calvin ended up getting a double - cookie dough and raspberry and oreo whilst Kate got a hot waffle with malteser ice-cream and toffee sauce! Soooo yummy! We then wandered around looking at the amazing playground and checking out the farm animals. All in 12 degrees weather - so warm compared to what we have been used to! No need for gloves or beanies here! It was a bit of a drive home and we hit some traffic but when we got home we booked some of our January flights and then played boardgames - bananagrams and Catan. Then we had a delicious dinner that Auntie Fiona prepared (with the help of M & S)
