Soongies' Great Adventure
Boxing Day started off with a tickle - a tickle in Calvin's throat. He'd finally succumbed to the cold. We did have a bit of a lie in though which is nice - since we've been in England, it's been easier to sleep in! Today Uncle Richard's side of the family came over. Janice (Richard's sister), her husband, Graham and son Jonathan came over in the early afternoon for a walk, lunch, and games. Matthew, who was working at M&S for Boxing Day, came over later. Everyone (except for Fiona and Kate who were slaving away in the kitchen), went for a walk on the Wirral Way. It was a crisp but beautiful day out with the sun actually peeking out! It was then time for a delicious lunch (vegetable lasagne, an amazing lamb tagine and roast vegetable couscous salad) and, of course, dessert (Janice's famous trifle). After that it was time for the Davies' and Smith's to do their Christmas present swaps and then a few games of Bananagrams (which Calvin dominated)! One of the gifts was a movie called 'A Wonderful Life' which most of the families watched, but Calvin and I got a bit bored so we wrote some of the blog / prepared some bits and pieces for dinner instead.
