India and Nepal 2022
Burgos Most of Spain doesn't get going until 10am and it is still dark until about 8.30 and so it has been a leisurely day doing a bit of shopping, getting some more euros, eating tapas, and getting my clothes washed. Margita and I looked around the wonderful 13th century cathedral and there are strong associations with the Camino even way back then. It is gothic architecture and a building which occupies the central location in this city and dominates the heart and soul of Burgos. It's also a very hot day with mid afternoon temperatures hitting nearly 80 degrees. It's probably not a good idea to drink so much red wine and sangria but, hey, it's my day off and it's the weekend! Tonight will be the last night with Ed and Carol as they need to make up time by heading on by bus to Leon. They have helped make my Camino adventure so far very memorable and special and I will miss them a lot. Carol and Ed, thank you so much for your friendship and I know we will always be part of a special 'Camino family' through our shared experience.
