Navarette to Nareja I left before daybreak through deserted cobbled streets and out into the countryside where the only sounds were the barking of dogs and the occasional rooster. I looked back to see the sun rise over the town from which I had just departed.
Soon, my memories of a very disturbed nights sleep with the most horrendous snoring I have ever heard in my life, became just a little irritating rather than exasperating which it was during nighttime! I really enjoyed the two hour walk to a coffee bar and had an enjoyable conversation with a Canadian business consultant called John, who set off on September 1st from La Puy, another of the Camino trails which connects with this Camino Frances.
For the remainder of the day I walked with Margita who is a lovely woman with dual US and Latvian nationality. We decide to stop at Najera which is a good decision as the heavy rain appears shortly after arrival. Today was a short and thoroughly enjoyable 10 mile walk and especially to arrive in good time to do washing, emails and blog.
