Everyone had a bit of a lie in after a late night of movie watching and after we eventually finished the breakfast marathon we headed to the camp kitchen for a morning of schoolwork. Nick had to leave around 11am to get new tyres fitted on the car, as the current ones are looking a little bald! He took Katharine with him and continued doing work with her while they were waiting. I spent a little bit longer working with the other three but it was too nice a day outside and we unanimously decided to walk the river instead! The Busso kids were outside on their bikes so they came too and we got back just as Nick pulled in - the new tyres look awesome! We had a very slow lunch and decided to spend the afternoon on the beach. By the time we had packed the car up the wind had picked up and we thought we might have missed the best of the day. But once we got to the beach it was magic. The tide was slowly coming in and although the waves were little they held a fair bit of power and pushed the boys in on their boogie boards no problem. I was a different story!! We had a game of beach cricket and eventually packed up around 530pm. On the way home we called into Coles and bought dinner and then headed back to the van. The caravan park was slowly filling up for the weekend and the kids found a few more friends to play with - unfortunately it's too easy to lose them. We lost Matty and Jonny for a while and found them half way up a tree over someone else's camper trailer! When I went to pull them out the occupants remarked on how chatty they were - I think that was polite for how loud they both were!! I made dinner and spent the evening doing some work while Nick chatted to the neighbours.
