Today we woke up to the sound of rain and went to sleep to the sound of rain - it didn't stop all day. In total, I think we had 50mm and most of it ended up inside our annex! At one point it was so heavy the annex roof began to sag under the weight of it all and Nick had to stand there and push it all off. We spent the morning doing schoolwork and took longer over it than usual, as there was no need to rush. After lunch, we headed into Bairnsdale to kill the afternoon. We did our last load of laundry with the Italians and then we spent the afternoon buying boots to survive the wet weather. We passed a hairdresser that looked empty and so took advantage and got all the males' hair cut (and Anna!). Four haircuts for $40 - bargain as the floor was covered afterwards! We headed home and the original plan was to pack up the annex but it was far too wet so instead we sat and read for a while. Nick made us all a curry for dinner and the kids watched a movie while we read. Unfortunately everyone has come down with a cold so an early night was needed all around, although I was so engrossed in my book that I had to finish it which took until 1 am - but at least the rain had stopped!
