Woke up to a power cut this morning and found it was park wide not just our little van. Thought about using the generator for a cup of coffee but it was a bit early for the other residents. We were getting desperate when luckily it came back on again but by this time the rain had started and was set in for the day. We had breakfast and did a bit of schoolwork but it was like pulling teeth after two days off! We stripped the last two beds of linen and then headed into Bairnsdale to visit the lovely Italian couple at the launderette and left them our washing again. Next we went to a teachers supply shop and bought everyone some more exercise books. We got the boys and Anna great workbooks to help with their spelling and Katharine needed a new maths book - although schoolwork is trying sometimes, the kids have actually covered quite a lot! As a treat (and because it was still raining) we spent the afternoon at the cinema and saw 'Mr Peabody and Sherman' - a great film. We were the only ones in the cinema which the kids thought was fantastic and Matty didn't have to lower his voice - not that he has a lower setting!! We did a little bit of shopping afterwards and checked the lotto ticket - no $25 million for us - then we came home and relaxed for a bit before dinner. I had a chat to the park owners and came away with a thousand things to do and see here over the next week. The kids watched a movie in the evening and then the three smaller ones had a relatively early night, while Katharine sat up with us for a while and watched a few episodes of 'Once Upon a Time Series two' - she was in heaven, spending a bit of time with us on our own!!
