Day 22. Mansilla de las Mulas to Leon. 19 km. Cool temperatures.

Holed up in hotel Silken. Well but foot sore. Been out for beer wine and food and will now not leave room til a late breakfast. Hope to heal a bit in the next couple of days. Oops déjà vu. But I feel so much better than I did in Burgos. I have walking friends and will make more and farewell others.

We set off before 8:00 and made reasonable time until we got to suburbs of Leon. Laurie's knee a feet were troubling her and she and Billy elected to catch a bus. As I couldn't get in to the hotel til 2:00 I chose to walk in.

I am in a nice hotel in a good area for shops. 15 minutes to the cathedral. Will check it out tomorrow. Warm and sunny at present but flooding predicted. Back tomorrow.
