Day 23. Leon Quiet day. Wet morning cleared this afternoon A quiet day mostly resting my feet. Blisters hardening up nicely. I can not believe I pulled a muscle on my lower right leg. I was cold and hurrying back to hotel in the rain. Went out this evening. There is a medieval festival in town. Stalls all round the cathedral selling gee gaws and food. Day 22. Mansilla de las Mulas to Leon. 19 km. Cool temperatures. Holed up in hotel Silken. Well but foot sore. Been out for beer wine and food and will now not leave room til a late breakfast. Hope to heal a bit in the next couple of days. Oops déjà vu. But I feel so much better than I did in Burgos. I have walking friends and will make more and farewell others.
