Day 11 Villafranca to Atapuerca 19kms
Steep 200m climb to start then easy walking.

Had a beer and brunch in Ages. Now I will no longer be able to say I haven't had a beer in ages.

Atapuerca is very close to where the earliest hominid has been found. One of the restaurants in town is called comosapiens which I liked. Two South African women are here in the same albergue. Hot today but I enjoyed the walk through the forest. Some of it Spanish oak.

I have a lower bunk in a room of six. A French woman and a German man. Today I excelled myself in the shower room by informing a señor that it was for señoras only. He left with apologies but I was wrong the loo and hand basins were women only but the showers mixed. Anyway in apologised but was happy to have my shower in peace. Well must go hang my washing.
