Day 17 Boadillo to Carrion de Los Condes 27 kms

A really good day the only hard part the last 3 kms in the heat. Left 6:45 arrived 2:45

The photo today is of Pepe. He was parked near the trail and had a basket of nuts and a basket of sweets. He gestured for me to sit and he cracked 20 almonds for me. He wrote in Spanish on my credential "on the camino as in life we are all .......... Will have to get the last word translated.

Walked today with Victor for an hour or so and met again for lunch. It was nice. He is leading the sheep we came across being driven down the road in one of the photos. Another photo for the spot the farmer working series.

I am staying in an old monastery tonight clean and ok but no ambience.

The heat is getting to be an issue. Fine for 20 kms but walking after 1:30 is much tougher. I tried my boots again today but not so good. Back to sandals.
