Day 21. Calzadilla las Hermanillas to Mansilla de Las Mulas. 24 km
A lovely albergue. Shared a room Wi th Debbie from US and Aileen from Germany who loves maths. Had breakfast and left at 7:30. 18 km before we make a village.
The country side changed today. Some set aside land and lots of birds. Saw three storks flying today.
The old roman road was more interesting than walking beside the train tracks and the N120. But without stops the day seems long.
Caught up to Julio and lizette who were wellbut told us about the deranged man in the Casa Rural. Made passes at women and men. A fellow Cuban with interests in voodoo. Good to see Victor again he is recovered. Many pilgrims have had a stomach virus.
I am looking forward to a day off in Leon. Feet and still working but just. Not having a meal tonight some fruit will suit me better. Wet weather predicted for Sunday and Monday. We have been so lucky. One very wet day and then rain overnight. Temperatures have dropped to teens. Great for walking.
Staying in a private albergue 8 Euros and 24 bunks in each of two areas separated by a half wall. Showers and loos two women and two for men.
19 kms to Leon tomorrow. Not too bad
