0 kms. Well several kms of walking but no closer to Santiago.
Well a day off and such a lot to do. It is early evening now. Five o'clock so shops are open again.
I went out this morning around half past eight for breakfast. Went and took a tour through the Cathedral. Very beautiful. So many chapels and apse and naves. Each ornately decorated. Carved marble wood and limestone. Craftsmen taking years to comets each commission. Restoration was happening as we walked through and I am sure it is a continual process. In its time it was a hive of commerce, politics, culture and worship. Now a steady stream of tourists and more clergy than worshippers in the Cathedral.
I then set of on a sock buying mission. I crossed paths with Cesar who I see most days kindly threw my bra and top back up to me on a windy day in my first albergue. Anyway he gave me directions to a hiking store who assured me wool socks are only stocked in the winter.
I bought some cool max toe socks. High wicking ability Marie. I have to try something. Anyway have another store to try this evening.
Will try to bathe without wetting my feet.
