Day 20 11th June 18 kms
Chose the alternate route on the roman road. Great day. Walked with Laurie and Billy.
Left after breakfast at 9:00. Rain was promised and clouds threatened but no rain.
It was a quiet walk and we were grateful to get off the N120. I dropped back from the others as I had led most of the day before and yabbered on with their encouragement to keep spirits up. Today I was quieter and dropped back to give them some privacy and because I was playing syncopated rhythms with my sticks against theirs. Apart from a fly that followed me for 400m it was a very pleasant days walk.
The country side changed a bit with wild lavender and Spanish oaks. Arrived at the albergue at 1:00pm. Not bad for four hours walking. One stop for coffee. Have booked an hotel in Leon for Saturday and Sunday.
