Day 34. Triacastela to Samos. 9.5 km. Up and down. One of the most beautiful days of the Camino. Temperatures perfect. Plenty of shade.
Lush green landscape. Trout in the river which we followed all the way. Interesting as we walked through small rural villages. In dairy country today. Billy recommended the monastery at Samos so we decided to stay the night in the monastery albergue. Hugh's idea!
Sitting waiting for the albergue to open. Just had a couple of tinto de veronas strictly for hydration purposes.
We plan to shower have lunch and then spend the afternoon in the monastery.

Rosalie Hi there R & H A night in a Spanish monastery - how awesome! I wonder if they wake you at 5 am as they do in Japan! Here it is cold, but also stunningly beautiful. Travel well!
