A Kiwi Camino
A stop at 2;30 for lunch. I am going further than I intended but a lovely cool day will earn me a shorter walk into Burgos.
I have just drunk a pint and ordered tortilla with ham. It came in sandwich. Imagine a foot long sub with an omelette inside it. Delicious. Energy to do the next 3.8 kms. Also managed to put a charge on my I phone. The battery runs out about 3:00 each day which is right when I need it to look for lodgings for the night.

Rosalie Well done Raewyn You are sounding very authentic. What a good idea to go further when it is cooler. Kia Kaha.

DT loving your blog RP - just got onto it so am catching up all your days in one go! Am so impressed, reminds me of my wee stint in the northern camino (only 4 days) and I was with family and we slept in up-market hostels, not the authentic pilgrim accommodation and experience! Loving your courage - physically mentally emotionally and socially! I remember how important it felt for me to connect to my loved ones when I was travelling alone (alone in a group if you know what I mean....). Ha, I remember getting cocky and thinking I understood some of the language and ordering what I thought was a local fish dish - got weiner schnitzel and fried chips, lol. That cheap red wine is great isn't it! Go well RP, you are so intrepid! xx
