Date: Wednesday, 17 July 2013, at 12:17 p.m.Gyeonggi-do Institute for Foreign Language Education is a government supported teacher-training and professional development institute.We are looking for professional, enthusiastic and highly-skilled native speaking instructors to join our team of instructors. Upon hiring, you will be teaching the Speaking module as well as develop curriculum to train the in-service Korean English teachers of Gyeonggi province.
*There are Speaking, Reading, Writing & Microteaching, and we may switch the modules between instructors at later time.Application requirements: Please send the following to Josh Kim [email protected] with subject line:

- A relevant Bachelor's degree with a related teaching certificate(s) and a minimum of 3 years of full-time English teaching experience.OR- A relevant Master's degree with a related teaching certificate(s) (e.g. TESOL) and a minimum of 2 years of full-time English teaching experience.*Teaching experience in Korean public school system is preferred.Contract details:
- Starting wage @ 2.7M plus 100K won/month rural allowance
- 35 days of paid holidays during non-teaching periods.
- One-time settlement allowance of 300,000won
- 1.5M entry allowance (if flying from overseas)
- 50% of health insurance

ABOUT US
- Established in 1997, the Gyeonggi-do Institute for Foreign Language Education is a provincial government teacher-training institute for in-service teachers of the public school teachers of English as a second / foreign language as a subject.
- We are looking for dedicated and highly-skilled native English-speaking instructor to join the team of fellow foreign instructors and serve at the institute.
- We are looking for a dedicated and highly-skilled native English-speaking instructor to join our team of foreign instructors to instruct teacher-training and professional development courses for in service Korean English teachers.
(Note: GIFLE's training programs range from 3 to 8 weeks throughout the year with breaks periods in between. Most programs are 4 weeks long. Current core modules include Speaking, Reading, Writing and Microteaching.) - In additional to instructing in-service teachers, participation in an off-campus local public school visit, and an on-campus secondary students English campus is required.
- You can expect solid professional support development as an educator and teacher, and a comfortable on-campus living environment.
- A relevant Master's degree with a related teaching certificate(s) (e.g. TESOL) with minimum of 2 years of full-time English teaching experience. OR
- A relevant Bachelor's degree with a related teaching certificate(s) with minimum of 3 years of full-time English teaching experience.
- Paperwork necessary for E-2 visa or other valid working statuses in Korea (F-2, F-4 or F-5)

- 1 year(12 months) - renewal of contract upon mutual agreement
- Salary: Starting at 2.7M~3.0M in Korean won per month, depending upon qualifications / experience.
- Housing: Fully furnished modern on-campus apartment provided. A two-bedroom apartment is also available for a married couple with/ without children. No pets allowed.
- Settlement Allowance: 300,000 won (one-time payment upon arrival to the campus housing)
- Paid Vacation: 35 working days during non-teaching periods
- Severance pay: Equivalent to on month's salary given at the completion of a 12-month contract
- Airfare: Flat-rate entry allowance of 1.5M won within a month of arrival(conditions apply)
- Benefits: 50% medical insurance
- Office hours: Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. including lunch break (12noon - 1pm)
- Instruction hours per week: up to 21 hours maximum, including consultation hours with trainees.
