Our last stop on the tour was to a restored Japanese Colonial Era restored home. I was excited about that but unfortunately we went to the wrong place on the map. Instead we ended up at a newly constructed Japanese style villa complex. It still hadnt opened and was undergoing final stages of construction. After lunch we were dropped off by an old Victorian brick style post office. This was infact the old Customs building for the port from the Japanese Colonial time. I'd been to Incheons Colonial area before and seen some of the old Banks and Japanese buildings that had survived. A short walk behind the Gunsan Modern History Museum was the Jindo Military Theme Park. It doesnt seem like much till you reach the entrance. This is a free outdoor park with many types of military aircraft and machinery parked outside. On either side are giant naval vessels. After our morning biking and late breakfast we were due to take the 11am ferry back to the mainland. This ferry was not going to be as eventful as our arrival being stalked by a horde of seagulls. However, the ride was longer at 90mins vs the shorter 50min ferry arriving This time the boat had a full upper deck.
