Daegu welcomes Handi, a new Pakistani restaurant to its array of global culinary delights. Handi is located at Bukbu Bus terminal, just around the corner from a long time Pakistani establishment Ali Baba. Rasheed, the owner of Handi, is actually the former cook from Ali Baba who sold his share to start his own business. Bukbu bus terminal is a bit out of the way and a question that often comes up is what subway stop is it near? Bukbu is not near any subway stops but you would have to take a bus to get there. They have a comfortable interior though not as asian themed as other indian restaurants sometimes are. There is a tv at the front playing pakistani satellite tv stations. I ordered a lamb korma with two naans before I noticed they had set menu combos. For 10,000w ($9.50) you can order either a beef/lamb/chicken set menu. This will come with 7 items (rice, naan, tandori, curry, daal, and vegs). Unfortunately its sticky korean rice but at least you'll get a large meal and a sampler of many dishes. Next time I come i'll try one of those.
