This morning I was invited back to conclude my presentation on the UK to a group of Korean adults. This is part of a club run by a friend to help adults learning english by inviting different speakers on various topics. The first part of my presentation was in September but we had to stop halfway as with korean translations for each slide it was taking too long. In part 1 we covered history, modern politics, pop culture, social change, food, music, film, tv, comedies, and the British Empire. In part 2 I would conclude with tourism, The Queen, Royal Family, comparisons with the US. This time it ran quicker as we had already done about 60% of the presentation the first time. Also more people wanted to stay and chat with me after the presentation. There was a lady from India, a mother/daughter/grandchild from Japan, a school teacher, and a lady that runs an organization assisting amercian soldiers wives. All of their english levels were quite high and they were very impressed with my knowledge. After the organizer took me for lunch again to a noodle restaurant. You can see Part 1 of the presentation with some slides here http://blog.travelpod.com/travel-blog-e ntries/londone7/1/1316421066/tpod.html Visit My Page on Facebook Departures1
