After 2 warm sunny days exploring around Trollhättan we went down through the 4 huge locks, they were the largest we had ever been through but we're almost the easiest, as the design meant there was no flow of water you just went up or down without hardly noticing the movement. We then had 40 miles of river with just one lock to get to the open sea. We arrived at the lock at Lilla Edet to find it shut. A local builder had cut through a power cable. We stayed the night here along with about 30 other boats, they did get it running by mid evening and some boats left, we waited till morning. Göteborg was much the same as other major city waterways we have sailed through, very busy and slightly confusing. We decided not to stay and sailed out into the archipelago to find some quite for the night. It was funny that after almost 60 locks and over 100 bridges of the canals that we should get stuck on the very last one.
