Yesterday after an afternoon sleep I was thinking no way can I cycle 65km's to Toulouse, well we blew that out of the water and hit Toulouse and cycled straight around and out the other side to a small place to stay the night. Its one of those overnight mini hotel types and its so clean, they stored our bikes and the security is amazing. The ride today although long seemed to flow. We begun our day at the market in Moissac, a great little market with loads of produce. We bought fruit, bread, some local prunes a specialty of the area and they are fantastic. Next 1/2 a chicken for our picnic to go with some avos as well. Stocked up we hit the trail and peeled back the km's, before I knew we had eaten up 25km. The morning was overcast and cool maybe that's what helped.
Waving goodbye to The Garonne had a sense of achievement for me, I had made it, 1/2 way, now for The Canal Du Midi which will take us to The Mediterranean where the sea will be warmer than the Atlantic - we hope. Four days and this cycle adventure will be over. What started this was a helpx experience with David and Sundara in 2012, we stayed with them for 10 days in a small village alongside canal du midi and thought mmmm why don't we cycle this one day - be fun. Well 2014 and here we are doing it!!! Anything is possible if you want to do it enough.
