Whoop whoop so lets check out this UNESCO heritage sight, a day off - you would think that means lazing around oh no, we ended up walking about 12km's. We walked along the road and boardwalk to the island, the sea was 1/2 way out when we entered and continued to retreat when we were there, amazing how fast and how far it goes out. The tides can vary greatly, at roughly 14m between high and low water marks. Popularly nicknamed "St. Michael in peril of the sea" by medieval pilgrims making their way across the flats.
Tonight we spoilt ourselves with a lovely meal of local produce, local salt marsh fed lamb, Rod had the full monty meal - 4 courses, I opted just for a main of lamb 3 ways, it was really tasty and tender.
