Day 50 - Tue 08 May - Tuapeka to Roxburgh

No sleeping in today - we were down at the ferry about 9am for a trip across the Clutha River and back. What a great experience. Terry was great explaining how the punt worked with no motor, just using the current of the river and system of cables to navigate across and back. Our trip north from here took us into Central Otago and through sheep farming areas - driving along the tops of the ridges. We then followed the Clutha River upstream to Roxburgh and across the river to Pinders Pond. What a pretty spot with a couple of other motorhomes we come across a couple of times already. The Clutha Gold Cycle Trail goes past here and it was quite busy.
