Wed 28 March - Plimmerton
The trucks started up early along the road beside the campsite. It rained overnight but if trains came through we didn't hear them. It was showery in the morning but cleared up. We sorted out some washing loads and headed to a laundromat at Titahi Bay. The little shopping centre was a bit seedy looking with roller doors and wire grilles on the shops. While the washing was going through we drove to the beach where we found some quirky boat sheds - there was even a couple sitting by theirs having a cuppa!
It was fine with a good breeze so took the chance of hanging out the washing. The site has three good sized clotheslines for us to use. In no time our loads were dry and airing in the warm car. About 24 rigs in here again tonight including another caravan heading for the Arrowtown Festival.
