Tue 27 March - Whanganui to Plimmerton
It was a good night's sleep for both of us even though we were in the city centre but it was an early wakeup with the traffic. We were on our way by 8.45am and had an uneventful drive through to Plimmerton arriving just before 12pm. We had a stop at Levin for a cuppa to break the journey. The new expressway north of Wellington is fantastic and made the trip much easier. After setting up camp Ros made some buns for the next couple of days' lunches and we did some grocery shopping (including meat and frozen stuff!)
