Thur 22 March - Urenui to New Plymouth

After a quiet night on our own we headed off into New Pymouth with a stop at the Bell Block dump station. We had just arrived at Huatoki NZMCA park when the skies opened. It was such a heavy downpour we hopped into the van for cuppa till it blew over before doing our levelling and legs down etc. It rained off and on all afternoon so it was a damp run to the supermarket to pick up something for tea. We are travelling without a working frig so have been reliant on fresh food for our meals.

The rain cleared away later in the afternoon. There are a few soft spots to avoid at the park but t's lovely to hear the birds.
