Day 275, 5 April 2013, Whistler, B.C. In the early hours of the morning it occurred to me that today marked the 9 month point of the trip. Or the 3 months left point depending on the state of the water in your glass. Wow. Nine countries to go. Lucky I'm having such a fabulous rest in Whistler! It was raining hard on the roof of the condo this morning. Now in theory I knew that meant it was snowing beyond some random point on the trip up the mountain. But it wasn't enough to lure me out into the wet. Not until lunchtime at least... Met James for lunch up Whistler Mountain and having done his duty to the snow gods all morning he packed it in after lunch and we headed home. All the rain at valley level is doing the snow coverage no good at all. We repaired to the condo, lit the fire and indulged in our new found entertainment - streaming video from Youtube. It is quite possibly the first time on the trip we've had really excellent wifi (and the time to use it) - so we're catching up on episodes of Inspector Lynley Mysteries from the BBC. Bliss. About the closest thing we've come to watching TV in 9 months. PS. Burglars have been at the bottle of red wine again. Honestly. What do they think this is...? an open bar.
