Day 268, 29 March 2013, Whistler, B.C. It occurred to us this morning to wonder at the massive, overwhelming crowds in skiers plaza. Then we put two and two together - big crowds? new arrivals in the condo next door (they have an alarm clock that sounds just like a squalling baby.... and had it set for 6 am). Oh. That's right. EASTER LONG WEEKEND! Wow. Completely missed that in our calendars. Mountain was super busy. Even the lifts that are normally well kept secrets had been leaked to the hordes. I skied for a couple of hours and took this photo of a handsome beaver (and of course a super handsome skier). James is simply tougher than me and went on a mountain tour. They were so busy with blue skiers they bumped him up to the blue/black skiers. Actually, the way my smacked wrist is looking I could have been promoted to the black & blue skiers! He had a ball and ended the week on a high note. Rest day tomorrow - A chance to plan forthcoming visits to Chicago, Niagara Falls and New York. Can't wait.
