Day 273, 3 April 2013, Whistler, B.C. Guess what... just for a change we went skiing! Who'd a thunk it. The visibility was much improved today - aside from a layer of cloud surrounding the Roundhouse lodge and dropping down 100 m or so. Once we navigated that, the mountain was free and clear. Had a great morning skiing together before lunching with friends. James took off with them after lunch and battled the Peak to Creek run - the longest intermediate run on the North American continent apparently - over 7 km! And then, he did it again, all the way from Whistler Peak to the valley floor at Creekside. Phew. Tired just thinking about it. Here's a great photo from times past back when Whistler was known as London Mountain. Long before the Olympics. Long before Whistler Village. The sixties! Back when the area now known as Creekside was the only place on the map. Back up the mountain tomorrow for more fun in the sun!
