Day 298, 28 April 2013, Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. It's not often we visit more than one country (and back again) in a day - but that's the beauty of the Rainbow/Peace/International Bridge between the two Niagara Falls towns. We had a lazy old morning and wandered off to the bridge around lunchtime. Luckily we are still within our 90 day visa period for Canada. In a weird kind of way we were still there... just visiting the USA. And same on the USA side - so it was relatively informal. The cutest part was the walk back from Canada to the USA - there are pedestrian turnstiles and it costs two quarters (50 cents) to get out of Canada. A truly evil comedian might say it was cheap at twice the price... Not us though! Absolutely worth taking the stroll over the bridge and along River Road to see the falls in all their splendour - once we were up near Horseshoe Falls we were even getting a touch of spray. Nothing like the brave folk in their ponchos down on the Maid of the Mist boats of course! (Pictured heading into Horseshoe Falls.) Great day out, enjoyed dinner in the hotel restaurant and of course packed for tomorrows adventure... 7.05 am departure from Niagara Falls railway station for the 10 hour train trip to New York, New York... start spreading the news...
