Day 257, 18 March 2013, Whistler, B.C. We did not think there was this much skiable mountain in the world. Whistler-Blackcomb is huge! And we've only seen a tiny bit of the Whistler part. Spent a glorious couple of hours on the mountain getting our ski legs back and kept looking out for the "Slope Closed-Avalanche Risk" signs... because there was almost no one around. Like the plague hit and let us live. Incredible. Sunny day, blue sky. Second in a row. Apparently last week was the wettest week in Whistler all year. OK so it's only March, but still. Treated selves to fish & chips for lunch - loving the 20% off discount with the season passes. "Scan me baby" is my new way of saying hello to the staff. It'll get boring, eventually. Skied right down to the bus stop and the free shuttle to our neighbourhood pulled in just for us. Back up tomorrow - a little bit earlier... a little bit harder and a little bit longer. Go Whistler!
