Day 270, 31 March 2013, Whistler, B.C. Rest Day. And not one little bit boring. Blazing sunshine the last couple of days and 17 degrees / 64 F degrees in the village has seen an awful lot of layers shed. In fact locals are roaming around in shorts, t-shirts (men) and mini-skirts and low-cut tops (ladies). Strongly suspect it's going to look like a nudist colony by the time summer proper arrives. Tootled into the village trying very hard not to stare at all the nekkidness (it's been winter on Planet NotBeingGrownups since around October 2012!) Window shopped. Checked out the clothes on the "Bargain" racks. Apparently they can spell the word, but the pricing machines are stuck in La-La Land. (Very similar to Australian pricing machines in all honesty...) Tootled home. Sat on the balcony, looked at snow, put on sunscreen to avoid vodka-burn. Contemplated the universe - sitting in front of a roaring fire in an African themed room in a snow covered ski town with elephants and rhinos and hippos contemplating us. A million miles from where we began.
PS. Actually 10,155 miles Capetown to Whistler if a crow was daft enough to fly it. Seems like a whole lot further in so many wonderful ways.
