Saturday night and we are still in Leon and I hesitate to say that we are staying one night in the Paradore which is just lovely if not very pilgrim like. However we are in bed watching Match of the Day which is Barca v Real Madrid which can't be bad.. Bale has just gone off and Barca are one up. Anyway today's photo isn't the best and yes it is sideways. It's of a young cellist called Dane Johanson who is at the Julliard school in New York and is doing the Camino with his cello. He's doing free concerts along the way and some of them have been in the one donkey towns and not many people have come. But tonight in Leon about 100 people turned up to hear him play Bach cello concertos and it was very special. He's being filmed and recorded on the journey and it looks as though we might arrive in Santiago at the same time. Well, it kept Roger away from another night looking wistfully at the Roman centurion outfits as they are all still around in the city today. We have a long, long walk tomorrow to make up for our two rest days. Leon has been a great stop and I hope it won't be too much of an effort to get the rucksack on again. Roger has finally got some walking poles as we do have some steep climbs and descents coming up. I've not used them before the Camino but I think they help when you are carrying a backpack and meeting mad dogs. Or Roman legionnaires.

Heather and Jon Buenos Dias Finally got round to reading about your inspirational trip. I've been reading bits to Jon who would like to be beamed up to join you. I'd need to get seriously fit beforehand but am reassured by the miracle cure of Rioja. Maybe one day... looking forward to reading and hearing more eventually as well as seeing some upright photos. Jon is bombarding me with all sorts of logistical questions which I cant answer so you'll need to be ready. Keep enjoying the experience. Take good care Xxx
