Possibly one of the dullest days walking so far hence the picture of tart santiago with a cafe con kenhe. The highlight of what was another hard day walking through very flat countryside. We began the day wearing everything to keep out the cold wind but it turned into a hot day. It's another one donkey town but thanks to Sally and Laurie for a good recommendation for an evening meal which we spent in lively company with two Canadians and a Brit who lives in USA and we are just having a post dinner drink. So this will be brief as I am using the bar's wifi as our "hotel" doesn't have wifi. Roger's toe is looking very sore but it doesn't seem to be affecting his walking and he's hardly mentioned the Cuban chef so maybe all that is behind him now. So tomorrow is Leon which is a big city and I'm hoping to buy a lipstick as well as doing some sight seeing on a day off. So back to my 43 drink which a few friends who have been to spain may know. Onwards and upwards.

Katie Still laughing about Roger and the Cuban! Match made ... if not in heaven ....somewhere very weird. x
Laurie & Sally Is Roger's toe problem due to wearing Cuban Heels? You are making great progress and I'm sure you will love exploring Leon on your day off. Keep up the blog as its essential reading for us every day. Maybe something from the 'Kings of Leon ' for the party mix. xxxxxxxx
Jo Jo the more I read the more I THINK I might like to tackle the challenge. But 25-30ks / day. PHEW,
Ross and Sue Just found your blog courtesy of Mostyn. Great stuff! Glad you're both marching on despite the toe injury and wild night life! If I hear of a village losing its one donkey, I will imagine a biblical scene - although I guess it will be Roger riding and you leading! Take care and enjoy!
