Today's sideways picture is of roger drawing the church inLos Arcos where we are spending the night. It was touch and go whether we would walk today as my heat rash has been variously diagnosed by different pharmacist and is probably an allergic reaction. But as chris has told me I manned up and we enjoyed one of the prettiest walks so far. It is still very much a wheat and vines area with almond and cherry trees. We are in the centre of town in Monaco hotel with a fine view of the church with a stork nesting on one of the cupolas. It flew by our window earlier and I was amazed by its size. So we met up with Jean Pierre again and Roger read a poem about him in the main square. Much laughter and appreciation. We went to mass mainly to see the interior of the amazing church in such a small town. But it was a good experience although I'm still not sure about the story of the local Saint Gregorio who got rid of plagues of locusts by persuading people to be more devote. However it went down a storm in 12th century and he's buried in some style. Maybe there are still some people peddling such promises now.. Roger is doing some great sketches every day and I might save you from one of our photos by including one soon. No rain today but the weather looks cooler for the next few days . But us pilgrims are ready for everything and I'm rattling full of pills from Spanish pharmacists and don't care. Hasta mañana.x

Katie I hope the heat rash begins to disappear. Spanish pharmacists will sell you anything so I'm sure at least one of their recommendations will work. If not I have it on good authority that wine helps as does a lovely foot massage by a talented architect . This was the traditional 12th century cure, anyway. X
