First of June already. I think that tomorrow we might reach the halfway stage but some of the signposts about how far it is to Santiago can be very different. Very Spanish.but aside from some lovely riverside walking today's blog is all about the monastery where we are staying. Photo is a view from our floor - our room view is over beautiful gardens . It's hotel Real Monasterio. San Zollo who I think is the patron saint of nice bathroom toiletries. It has just been fabulous to wallow in some luxury and splendour for 65 Euros for the room. Ok it's Sunday and maybe we should have gone to mass but we've had a lovely dinner instead. But it may be a last supper as I've not been able to book us anywhere at the next planned spot so we are going to have to walk further than planned. Roger and I were talking about doing the walk from Lisbon to Santiago in the future - maybe a bit longer but v interesting. The newspapers here are full of preparation for Copa de Munro - World Cup and we feel we can cheer for Spain in case we don't get through the group stages. So a blog full of spiritual enlightenment I think and tonight's disco tracks are Smokey Robinson Tears of a Clown and Sisters Sledge we are family.
