Sorry it looks as though this photo is upside down too. About to call Apple with what might be. A serious problem with their I pads. Horrendous night in the 10th century former hospital of the ancient monastery. No sleeping bag so slept in my clothes. Showers that lasted for 3 seconds . Mattress as hard as a rock and big pain in my hip. So got about two hours sleep and lights on at 6 am for the keen pilgrims to be on their way. R and I quiet until we got on the road and had a nice breakfast and it was another beautiful day with totally blue skies and eventuality the pains start disappearing. Bowled over by the ages, shapes, nationalities and attitudes of people who you meet. Two new friends today are Nillesh USA Indians in the picture and Jean Pierre who is just retired hotel manager who has lived all over the world. But the youngsters doing the camino on a budget are just fascinating . Tonight more bits of my body hurt including my shoulders and it's difficult to get going if you've bee sat down for 20 minutes. But we've had a bath tonight and are staying in a beautiful old and simple Basque hotel. About to go to dinner and feel almost human. Tomorrow is Pamplona which is our first city. R keen to try. A few Hemmingway. Bars but I of course will be washing socks and visiting churches. Hope less of me hurts in the morning.
