So here we all are.. it is officially December! and I have officially been here for 2 months 9 days, two hours and 53 minutes :) It doesn't seem like I've been here that long at all.. actually in all honesty, it seems like I've been here mucho mucho longer! I am now used to most of everyone's accents I don't have to ask someone to repeat themselves 80 times just so I understand that they're asking me if I want sugar in my coffee. I also am very used to the money and all the different sizes of bills. also all the change.. I'm used to having a pocket of change now.. I actually like it! :) I also love my stupid debt card.. I wish the united states had debt cards like we have here.. I like the whole micro chip thing!

I know you're all asking.. what have I been up to that I haven't been able to write.. Well... not a whole hell of a lot. I have had A LOT of work to do for classes and of course even though I keep telling myself that I"m not going to procrastinate.. I always do. Although, some of my procrastination has lead to some really really good marks! I currently have a 16 and a 19 as marks.. the rest of my classes don't really have marks yet.. And those two can change once I take my test in January.. So get this.... I've had 7 classes.. all which I have had to do work for. And I have only one test for all of them so I can't screw up my test. On January 22, I take my first exam from hell! Its 3 hours long and has 12 questions, of which I only have to chose 3 to answer. so I am giving myself an hour per question. I think that's fair. so I officially start revision on day 3 of my Christmas vacation.. why day 3? because I'm taking at least 2 days off.. I was going to take 4 days off.. but that is officially going to screw me over if I do that.. I have a lot of notes to recopy and a lot of reading to do. on top of that I have a huge research project (actually that's what I'm assuming it is because no one has said anything about it yet) and a grant proposal due on January 11th. so I have to get on the ball for my grant proposal and of course make it super awesome.. I don't know what I'm going to do yet but I'm going to gear it towards and actual PhD grant proposal, so it could be something I can actually work on when that time comes. Initially I was thinking green fluorescent protein injected into soil bacteria to see how they interact with the three sisters plant scheme. but I'm not sure.. it would be cool because all of my bacteria would glow green!! :) YAY for glowing things!! And you know.. when I came here I didn't want to have anything to do with biology.. now I really like soil microbial eco/biology. it just thrills the schist out of me!

other things that are thrilling me pink, Caroling starts this weekend with Gilbert and Sullivan society.. We're going to be caroling all around the city of Aberdeen to try to raise money for the Gilbert and Sullivan society :) Also Patience is in full swing.. I love being back on stage! I know that the stage is where I really belong but I have to have a back up plan right? Maybe some talent scout will be out in the audience and just become entranced with me.. :) that would be great... well its a great day dream anyway. so I wonder that if the saying is true of "All the worlds a stage" I wonder if god fast forwards through the boring parts? oh and I'm pretty convinced that the universe is run by a big perv. lol.. don't ask why...

today I got out of classes at 1pm so I went and picked up my vegetable bag from the fair trade people and I've done laundry for the past two hours. I need to go and do something productive.. but that would mean... doing something productive.. OH NO!!!! lol I need to finish my aberdeen true crimes book so I can let the rest of my roomates read it and so I can send it home. I can't believe its already wednesday.. Tomorrow is the Leaf and Loam Ceilidh.. I got a new dress for it.. its absolutly beautiful.. and it looks really good on me.. I tried not to go super dressy but it is the Christmas Ceilidh so I figure I could dress up a little more than usual. My good friend Olu is going to be getting ready at my place an then a bunch of us are going to share a taxi down to the Carmelite Hotel. from what I have seen online.. it looks really swanky.. I'm really excited for it! And our 9am class was canceled on Friday so I have time to recover after a night of dancing and frivoloity.. lol.. I hope there's mistletoe :) OHHH day dreamer... dork..

It has also been super cold here lately which I haven't been super thrilled with.. just the other night it was 21F!!! Efffffing cold!!!! but thats ok.. I just need to find some warmer clothes.. which I really do need to stop buying so many clothes BUT I am getting ready to send a whole bunch of clothes to the charity shop soon. I am giving them clothes that are... wait for it... TOO BIG!!! YAY!!

Anyway I need to go take care of my wash soon... However I did want to make a very public note.. Jeremy, I haven't forgotten about you and I will write you soon! I just have been super busy with school
