I got lost today..

I was on my way down to Morrisons. Which I have only been to before with the help of a stranger I met en route.. So, naturally I got lost. But it was okay. I did Hilary (Wheatabix) proud and I didn't freak out! Instead I took pictures of things I saw while I was passing. I almost walked down to the beach though before I had asked a passerby where the heck I was! Of course I had gone about a half mile out of my way but it was really nothing because I got to look at everything. However, I did almost get hit by a truck but I caught myself in time. It didn't really seem that I walked almost 4 miles today but I did! And it was great! It was sunny and only slightly warm. By the time I got back to my flat I was feeling pretty darn productive.. Today at the market I bought a mixing bowl, more cheese, a mug for drinking chocolate, a shaun the sheep wooley bathtime friend (its a loofa), some roses for the kitchen and other misc. stuff that I needed and forgot the first time (spices and such). tomorrow I have the big items I didn't want to carry coming from ASDA. They deliver to your flat! super awesome!!! :) oh I also got more chicken today which I quartered into bags and froze, it was a smart idea I tell you what!!

I also did the laundry today.. I met a girl in the laundry room named Heidi who was extremely nice. I found out she is from Texas and she is studying Creative Writing as a Masters Programme!! HOW WIERD!!!! but pretty awesome all at the same time.. We've decided that she, one of my flatmates (Kelly from New York) and I should celebrate all of the American Holidays together, considering we all live in the same housing place.. Heidi is in block 11 and Kelly and I are in 5. Communal Laundry wasn't that bad but its not my favorite. dunn dunn duhhhhnnnnn. By the by.. Morrisons Grocery store has a dry cleaning and photo development area! As well as a Cafe with hot and cold foods. that pretty much through me for a loop of awesome! Morrisons so far is my favorite grocery store here.. and the prices aren't that bad either! Their prices aren't that far off from ASDA's online. though I'm sure ASDA's is cheaper when it comes to home furnashings. My mug cost me 2 pounds! good lord!! but it's nice and the mug I got with my uni-box kitchen pack is actually being used to hold my toothbrush. so I can't use that for drinking chocolate now can I? But back to laundry.. it really wasn't that bad of a wash. Its 1.60 to wash or 1.80 if you want the super cycle (come to find out its only 7 minutes more of washing and spinning) and a dry is only a pound and it got my clothes dry quite nicely.

So the nice thing about getting lost and not freaking out? I found the thrift store! and a bunch of other things that I dont really care about but I did find a tool shop too! so my next fun shopping trip to morrisons I think I will go the wrong way again and go to the thrift store. it was open on a saturday so I'm sure it will be open again next week. I am also excited for my birthday.. I have been a good girl and haven't opened my card and box from Anna yet, but my flatmates are going to go with me to the "fun fair" its a pirate themed amusement park down on the beach! I'm so excited!!!

Well, I better get going and be productive... I still need to completely unpack and I am making spaghettie tonight for dinner I think.. Super excited! tres mucho!
