Day 64 - Tue 22 May - Waimate

Today is supposed to be a 'no drive' day for Bruce. However we did go out to the coast to the Waihao Box (designed to stop the river mouth blocking with shingle). The first road Navgirl took us down ended with a washed out bridge and road closed so we backtracked and eventually arrived there. It was very windy and the sea was a bit wild - it's a free parking area but would be a bit bleak today. The trip must have been too much for Navgirl (our GPS) as it has now gone on the blink. Darn! We had to find our way (by map book) to Kelsey's Bush where we went for a short walk to a small waterfall where the local water supply used to come from.
